‘B.I.’ as in Block Island. 🙂

Cockpit of an ‘ancient’ motorboat resting not far from the South East Light on Block Island, RI.

More photos from this day trip are on Flickr…. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzXoE8

‘Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive’

Relying on lyrics from a BeeGees song to inspire me to keep this blog going, even when other “distracting” social media sites dominate the scene. Damn you Facebook and Flickr…and others.

First batch of photos from the spring/summer 2022.

Being watched

When the hunter becomes the hunted. Actually, it’s three Labrador Retrievers who couldn’t possibly keep up with a wily coyote. Still, a little more excitement than I was expecting this morning.

We went to New York City last Saturday, a day trip. Eric and I were armed with our new Fujifilm x100v cameras. Between he and I we shot hundreds of photos. Of all those shots, this is one of my favorites. He took it, of course. 🙂

Eric and I took our new cameras – Fujifilmx100v – for a walk in Providence last night. These were more like test shots, because there’s still a lot to learn about these cameras. All in good time.

Fish on!

Yesterday Martin and I went surfcasting at Narragansett Pier Beach; it was the first time in decades. We had a great time, but caught no fish. I went fishing again the next day, in EP, and my luck improved, but just a little.

If you count the rings you can estimate its age. Gotta be at least 50 years old.

From seascape to dreamscape

The smell of the ocean is unmistakable and so, too, is the sound of stones rattling their way back after each wave. I’d like to capture that sound, one of these evenings, and have it ready for the nights when sleep doesn’t come easy.
