This tulip was clearly on fire, until I realized it was clearly not. Some natural color and lighting was to blame for my completely understandable reaction.

It wouldn’t shut up – the whole time.
Trying a 30-second exposure on a babbling brook. A nice, serene location just down the street, tucked away next to a gaggle of office buildings. Easily missed from the road.
We were itching for April
You can only take so many photos of backyard birds before going cuckoo, so we were off to Bristol for some non-bird photos. We love the Bristol waterfront, and being just 20 minutes away, it’s a must-visit locale.
A little wet. A little cold. And just plain little.

All we had was Hope
We took a Sunday drive to a place called Hope Village in Scituate, RI. The Hope Dam (and waterfall) was the weekend’s shiny object.

My friend Henry asked me to photograph his band. They were playing live at the Galactic Theater in Warren, RI. I’ve done this sort of thing before with good results, but I was “really” happy with these images. I think the black and white approach added to the onstage energy.
