I said goodbye to my best friend this past summer, and I’m only just now able to write about him, and I’m not going to write much – words seem so cheap. We will never forget you Nigel, ever.

Ice Fishing at Lincoln Woods Park
Not a bad day for a cold winter day. This was really the first time the kids have seen (and been on) a frozen lake – that’s them in the middle of the top photo. Ice skaters and ice fisherman were doing their thing, too. Nigel enjoyed it, but his hips weren’t up for the added effort to stay upright. Poor Nigel – aka Hot Diggity Dog.

Nigel and I were at one of our favorite spots a few weeks ago. Not even a chilly 30 degrees can detract from this view.
More Phun with Photoshop
I thought this was a pretty cool effect. I took the shot with the iPhone. I then used an iPhone app called Photoshop mobile. The app comes with a filter that converted the original photo (bottom) to the one above. I think it’s called a sketch filter.
