Glenn and Pati joined us on a self-imposed photography assignment: getting a shot of Pomham Light during the holidays. It required a walk along the bike path for the best vantage point. Once there, a space between the trees, my assistants added extra holiday bling to the fence.
My friend Henry asked me to photograph his band. They were playing live at the Galactic Theater in Warren, RI. I’ve done this sort of thing before with good results, but I was “really” happy with these images. I think the black and white approach added to the onstage energy. Donna and I climbed up some rocks not far from the Squantum Club where I could setup for a long exposure of the club. I’d like to use this same spot for a lighted Christmas tree photo in December.

I was joined by Eric tonight for some street photography. Eric left the house with 1% battery life on his camera (Fujifilmx100v). “Been there done that,” I assured him.
Had to get out of the house, and of course had to bring the camera.
It was dark and 16 degrees out, so the obvious thing to do was grab the camera and Christmas lights and head to Hundred Acre Cove. Took quite a while to get the feeling back in my fingers. Not my best idea. 😆
Our second time visiting Old Sturbridge Village for this event. The weather was perfect; we all froze there a couple years ago. No matter the weather, it never disappoints.
The goal was to find a leaf that’s a bit more upright than the rest. Then, getting low with the camera, keeping the leaf in focus, and shooting skyward. My new Sony 24-70GMII does much of the work. The hardest part is getting myself up off the ground again.
