Taking the dogs out to pee on a cold winter’s night.

It was dark and 16 degrees out, so the obvious thing to do was grab the camera and Christmas lights and head to Hundred Acre Cove. Took quite a while to get the feeling back in my fingers. Not my best idea. 😆

The Renaissance Hotel in Providence, dressed for the occasion, tonight being Christmas Eve and all.

The folks on Mathewson Street in Barrington never disappoint.

Christmas lights at Slater Park in Pawtucket. Just down the street. Who knew? Apparently my niece, Sarah, knew, so we headed over at her suggestion. Good call.

Last week we teamed up with Kerri, Beth, Jill, Mark, and Lisa for a very chilly night at Old Sturbridge Village. It wasn’t at all what I expected, meaning it easily rivaled the holiday atmosphere at Edaville Railroad this time of year. Well worth the hour drive to see the lights and to be in good company.

(Thought he heard Santa). The plan was for me to go outside with the camera, and for Donna to herd the dogs to the window. I had MY part down, but the dogs were reluctant, until Thunder’s curiosity got the best of him, and he walked into the shot.

The VP of Marketing for Garden City found me online, and she offered me an opportunity to shoot photos of this year’s Holiday Stroll. I thought getting nice shots of Santa would get me off his naughty list. We’ll see. Charcoal in my stocking gets old after a while.
