I took a lot of photos today, due in large part to a ferry ride from Providence to Newport, RI. The Sony camera came out many times, but my favorite photo of the day was taken with my iPhone, just outside our front door. This happens all too often. Time to downgrade. 🙂

With this scenic pond just down the road now, it’s easy pickings for some good photo opportunities. From left to right: a Black-capped Chickadee borrows an old woodpecker’s nest, a dog and his boy try their luck at the bridge that divides the pond, and a lily pad flower almost ready to bloom.

This time some backyard bling.
The more bleak it got the more it stood out. The fog was rolling in at Beavertail State Park.
Another favorite spot of mine, for sunsets, is Haines Park in East Providence. So when we’re not up to driving to Bristol (a whole whopping 20 minutes more), then Haines Park is a solid “Plan B.” Rarely disappoints.
This tulip was clearly on fire, until I realized it was clearly not. Some natural color and lighting was to blame for my completely understandable reaction.
