We decided to try Plant City last night, which is one of those healthy restaurants in Providence. While Donna thoroughly enjoyed her plant-based quesadilla, I chewed on lawn clippings stuffed into a burrito. Thankfully, this meat eater had the opportunity afterwards to get outside and play with his camera.

It was one of those nights when I just had to go out and shoot something, so a trip downtown was in order. Problem is, I’m uncomfortable with street photography. I mean, how would I convince a passing driver that my intentions are good, despite the fact that I’m sitting on a curb, in the dark, with a camera? Never again… until next time.

It was a more somber night than the usual raucous, fun-loving, Waterfire celebrations of the past. Taps, played by uniformed trumpeters positioned along the river, added to a moving event.
