We spent some of the afternoon today hanging out at Crescent Park. There were BMX stunt riders, live music, and a former NFL player (Jamie Silva). Jamie put our kids, and loads of others, through a football workout. I got really tired watching them. I really need to take it easy.
Dad turned 80 last week. All had a good time at this quaint little cafe in Wickford, RI. Somehow the old man wrangled the owners, friends of his, into holding this private gathering for his milestone. He is, after all, the “Mayor of Wickford.”
Fishing in the evening with a plastic worm – at Brickyard Pond in Barrington. Can’t beat it. Two good-sized Bass and a small Perch.
No better place than Hunt’s Mill to mess around with waterfalls and shutter speeds.
Christy became the proud momma of a two-month old Guinea Pig this week. I suggested the names Ringo for a boy or Rita for a girl (okay, I’m a Beatles fan). Anyhow, she named the thing “Flash,” because I was adjusting a lamp in her room, when it kind of flashed, and that was that. Not nearly as creative as mine, I have to say. Anyhow, Flash is – I have to admit – a cute little thing that talks up a storm when it’s being cuddled. Let’s just hope Christy’s runny nose goes away, because I hate to think she’s allergic to her new baby. We’ll have to wait and see.

According to the news, this has been the warmest winter on record. No argument here. The kids and I headed for Brickyard Pond today to throw the football around. I also blew the dust off the camera and took this shot (HDR) of one of the small streams that feeds the pond. A very nice day indeed. Hoping for more of the same tomorrow.
